The base coat is a couple of layers acrylics in grey-greenish shades. Thinned acryl tto get more shades and a reddish shade of brouwn for all metal parts. Could not help myself to add some "Verlinden"-stripes on the cab doors. Wheels and details painted and the whole drybrushed with a stiff brush to get some life in the colour. The lights are rusty inside. Somehowe this happend, It fits. Last step to go: a layer of dust with the airbrush.

It got shelved by a lot of other projeects, but it's done, ready for the airbrush. Extention of the chassis to accept the cargo bay, front lights drilled out the normal civvy headlights. Extra set of rea wheels. Masking tape on the windows.

A Blitz cargo bay is the donor for the much smaller caro bay of the Steyr. The Steyr has its iron supports diffeerently places, but with a carefull trimming the boards it loos the part.

After sanding the filler: it does not even glue to keep it's place. The instrument pannel goed on top, but inside the cab. It's there but hardly visable.

These aircooled Steyr's with their 4x4 traction where also used in a more standard transportation role. And in the "Schell" program they got wooden cab's. A test of a couple of years ago: a perfect fit between the nose of the Tammiya and the cab of Italeri. Both the Steyr and the cab are recycled kit parts. The floor needs some extra parts to fil the cab. An extention of the plate on the nose.
