Build history

May 6 2024

The green one from the April pictures was in fact a 3D printed hull. roughly added details and airbrushed together with these M40's. Many people wil have to look twice to see the difference. Both wil get some details in painting that depict the 1946 look. The Dutch roadversion licenceplate and more "olive drab" colour.

A treasured gift from Marcel and one from J.W. 2 scales 1:35th an 1:72th from the same 3D file, and the same resin. Brittle, so difficult to work with. Just fitting together and painting. The tyres are a strange thread, but ok. The horns and the engine doors are prototype. And there 4 horns. Ow. Ok. Tower top needs details, lights and stuf needs to be added. But most special: They have a powere frontaxle! They are in fact M40's from that. Than I can keep the prototype features! If DAF would have made the M40 series, they would have used the prototype to test fit the front suspention.
