1946 "Sarge" cartoon

Sarge's granfather

Original: In 1946 the studio's of Disney in Italy made some scetches for a cartoon series involving (among others) a Willy's Jeep.

Model: Polymer clay, Usually reffered to as "Fimo".

Build: December 2018 to April 2020. One of my friends challenged me to make one, but what is the best way?.

April 2020

In 2020 I give the whole idea a new try. I try to make it not too big, slightly smaller than the 2019 attempt. I made a few tests and made a mould to be able to make it a bit more flexible and not just one block, because it's flexibility is one of it's key features. I'm not happy with the original sketches and not with the first version because it has to be a war time jeep, and the spare tyre and fuel can, and the overal lines are iconic and should be recognisable. The wheels I made seperatly, the mould proofs to be usefull, but maybe I must try and make it in 3d software and print it. Anyway, I think I'm going to make more of them, maybe I need a " Red" too. The're about the same dimensions.

2019

December 2018 I got a series of sketches that is a very wel known thing among Disney connoisseurs. Disney Italy made them, showing a Jeep having all kind of adventures. Can you make one? Well, talk about a challenge! The rear or this Jeep is square. It uses it's fenders as arms and it's bumper is it's mouth. I'm not very happy with it, but it's "grandson" "Sarge" supporting actor from the 2006 mega hit "Cars" thinks he sees family lines.
