This wreck of a AHS is seen here on the slope of the Rhine bridge in Arnhem after the fierce battles in September 1944. It took a direct hit from a large calibre in the cab. At this point it has the remains of a motorcycle in the back, that probably was put there during the clean up of the site. Originally it was more on the road. It's one of 2 vehicles reported. It's from an "Aufkl.Abt." (recconance group) of the 9th ss armoured division. The 2nd photo is a different vehicle. Clearly from the different damage.
